Admiral Kowalewski is a former Star Trek role-player who helped establish the Star-Fleet (STF) online role-playing club in 1992.[1]

Creation of STFEdit

In April 1992, the Prodigy online service lifted a ban on online role-playing games. Individuals at Prodigy's Star Trek message board immediately began to orgnaize play-by-post games. This created choas as competing efforts conflicted with one another. In July, Kowalewski developed a plan, which organized people into individual ships with individual crews. This plan was adopted and proved successful, and ultimately became the basis of STF.

LegacyEdit

STF, and Kowalewski's plan, is the first documented Star Trek play-by-post online role-playing (sim) club. The system utilized in STF became the standard model for most Star Trek sim clubs. However, it is not known if there were earlier examples upon which STF and Kowalewski drew from.
