The OngoingWorlds Blog is the primary news and information outlet for Ongoing Worlds. Articles on various simming and role playing topics by authors from across the simming community are regularly published there. Ongoing Worlds creator David Ball launched the blog in 2009, and he has served as the its editor ever since. By 2012, many considered it to be the leading source for simming news, opinion, and analysis.

Community Honor[]

The first Community Honor was awarded to Jonathan Swift of the USS Asimov for his service as chair of the 2012 Simming Fall Festival. The Community Honor has since been awarded to others for outstanding service to the Ongoing Worlds organization.
Flashback Week[]

Flashback Week is a recurring competition run by Ongoing Worlds in which the participants are asked to write a backstory or flashback of one of their characters, showing a different point in their lives. Chas Hammer won the inaugural competition in 2011 for his story Rage!
First Person Fortnight[]

First Person Fortnight is a recurring competition run by Ongoing Worlds in which the participants are asked to write a story in first person perspective. Aimee Shields Yankowski won the inaugural competition in 2012 for her story Not All Bad Out Here.
Simming Fall Festival[]

The Simming Fall Festival became part of Ongoing Worlds when Ongoing Worlds absorbed the Simming League in March 2012. Ongoing Worlds then sponsored the 2nd FallFest, which was chaired by Jonathan Swift and hosted by the USS Asimov, in September 2012. The next FallFest will be held in September or October 2013.
Way Back When Week[]

Way Back When Week is an upcoming competition run by Ongoing Worlds in which the participants are asked to write a story depicting their role playing character's ancestors. The winner and finalists will then be decided by a panel of judges. The first competition is scheduled to take place during the last week of November 2012.
