Out of character, often abbreviated to OOC, is a term used to indicated what happens outside the role-play. It is the antonym of in character (IC). It is mostly used in reference to the interaction between role-players, both unrelated to the role-playing activities they participate in as well as when they are discussing and planning any in-character happenings.
