Penny Boopter is a retired role-player. She served as the President of Trek Online from 2002 to early 2003, and again from late 2003 to 2004. She was also the head of Celestial Prime Alliance's Babylon 5 division.

HistoryEdit

Trek OnlineEdit

Penny Boopter was one of the most distinguished and highly decorated members of Trek Online. During her long career (1997 - 2004), she commanded several sims, ran the club's simming academy, hosted the weekly Star Trek trivia chat session, and was decorated numerous times - winning both the TOL Medal of Honor and the TOL Cross.

Penny was elected President of Trek Online in November 2002 and reelected in April 2003. While she remained popular with the regular members of the club, the clubs hosts and senor officials blamed her for the continuing decline of Trek Online and found her unable to perform the work necessary to right the club, or empower individuals to do so. Days after her reelection, Penny's Vice President - and immediate predecessor as President - SO'koth Vidiot qul'tuq (Vid) attempted to, with the backing of a majority of the club's sim hosts, install himself as President. Chas Hammer exposed the attempt and publicly called it a mutiny. Infuriated, Vid and his supporters left TOL to form Rogue Fleet.

Penny resigned as the President in August 2003. Matthew Joseph Dawn took over the club, but his Presidency was short-lived and Penny returned as the President in December. For the next eight months, Penny continued to sim and command her ship, the USS Challenger, but did little to rebuild the club, which by this time had fallen to about 20 members. On July 27, 2004, she resigned for a second time and turned the club over to Chas, who promptly closed and disbanded what remained of Trek Online.

Celestial Prime AllianceEdit

Penny served as a member in the Celestial Prime Alliance for a number of years, ultimately coming to head its Babylon 5 division.
