The UFS Nixon was founded by Captain Michael Bailey of the United Federation of Planets of the 32nd century. The UFS Nixon was the flag ship of the Temporal Division of the United Federation of Planets and served as an exploration and enforcement vessel across space and time while it adhered to the amended Temporal Prime Directive.

The UFS Nixon was a cross between a standard sim and a Virtual Television Series. While it maintained the standard PBeM format, the UFS Nixon was also publicly displayed as a virtual series complete with a cast, episode and season summary, production team, and writers. The UFS Nixon also took advantage of an occasional live sim to simulate a live episode.
